Therese Benoza is a Filipino-Canadian classical pianist recognized for her innate musicality and passion for sharing the beauty of music. She began piano lessons at the age of six and quickly fell in love with its ability to inspire connection, joy, and artistry in others. Today, she is an ARCT-level pianist, aspiring music therapist, and dedicated piano teacher, currently completing her 2nd year in a Bachelor of Music at the University of Toronto with certificates in piano pedagogy, entrepreneurship, and music & health.
Over the years, Therese has earned numerous accolades across Ontario, including first-place piano awards at the Peel and Kiwanis Music Festivals and a featured performance at the Rose Theatre for the Peel Music Festival All Stars concert. She was also a two-time finalist at the Ontario Music Festival Association Provincials (OMFA) in 2021 and 2024. In addition to piano, Therese grew up singing in musical theatre, church choir and most recently, University of Toronto’s Soprano-Alto Chorus.
With over three years of teaching experience, Therese brings artistry, versatility, and warmth to her role throughout the community as a musician and educator, fostering creativity, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for music in her students.
